Grain Bin Accident Claims Life

On Thursday, June 16, a grain bin incident involving an employee occurred Thursday evening at Crystal Valley Cooperative in Hope, MN.

Emergency services were called to Hope around 9:20 pm and rescue efforts began as soon as they arrived.

Crystal Valley employee, Paul Frantum became fully engulfed in a grain bin while loading a train, leading to his death. The incident is still under investigation.

Crystal Valley extends their heartfelt appreciation to the emergency services and volunteers on site. Our deepest condolences go out to Paul’s family and friends.
