Merger Vote Not Approved by Members
Crystal Valley Members,
We would like to inform you that the proposed merger between Crystal Valley and New Vision Co-op was not approved.
For the merger to pass, Crystal Valley, operating under 308B cooperative guidelines, required a simple majority vote. New Vision, as a 308A cooperative, needed a two-thirds majority for approval. Unfortunately, the votes did not meet the required thresholds for approval.
“While the outcome is not what we had hoped for, we respect the decision of our members. This process has reaffirmed the importance of our cooperative principles. It ensures that our members have a voice in shaping the future of Crystal Valley. We remain focused on exploring future opportunities that will strengthen our cooperative and enhance the value we deliver to our members.” - Gene Meyer, Crystal Valley Board Chairman
We want to thank all who took the time to participate in this important process, whether by attending meetings, submitting ballots, or engaging in discussions. Your continued support of our local cooperative is greatly appreciated.
The Board of Directors will continue to act in the best interest of our cooperative. We are committed to pursuing sustainable growth and ensuring that Crystal Valley remains a strong and vibrant part of the community.
Thank you for your continued trust and support as we move forward.
Sincerely,
Crystal Valley Board of Directors
