Welcoming Tyler Olson as Chief Financial Officer

Crystal Valley is pleased to announce that Tyler Olson will join the cooperative as Chief Financial Officer, effective June 1.

Tyler brings a strong background in financial leadership along with deep roots in southern Minnesota agriculture. He grew up on a family farm near Ormsby, where his family raised corn, soybeans, and operated a farrow-to-finish hog operation. A graduate of St. James High School, Tyler went on to earn a degree in accounting with a business minor from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

His career began with employment at CHS in Mankato, where he started as a summer laborer during his college summers and later moved into a full-time role after graduating from college.. He then began his finance career joining NuWay-K&H, serving as Credit Manager for five years before stepping into the Chief Financial Officer role, a position he has held for the past 13 years. Throughout his career, Tyler has built a strong track record in financial leadership, strategic planning, and supporting long-term cooperative growth.

Tyler and his wife, Bethanie, his high school sweetheart, have been married for 22 years and live in rural Mankato. They have three children: Ivan (14), Etta (11), and Mila (9), all active in school and sports.

With lifelong ties to the area, Tyler sees this role as an opportunity to contribute to a cooperative that reflects his values. “Crystal Valley is a growing organization with a strong culture and a long-term vision,” Tyler shared. “Being part of a cooperative that’s rooted in its communities and focused on the future just makes sense.”

Please join us in welcoming Tyler to the Crystal Valley team.
