Dear Crystal Valley Patrons,
After careful evaluation by Crystal Valley’s management team and Board of Directors, a decision has been made regarding the future of our grain facilities in La Salle.
Due to the age of the infrastructure and increasing regulatory and safety requirements, we have determined that the La Salle grain facilities can no longer be operated at the level of safety that we expect for our employees and patrons. Safety is our highest priority, and the significant repairs and upgrades required to bring these assets up to our safety and compliance standards are not economically feasible when evaluated against the long-term return on investment.
As a result, Crystal Valley will be permanently ceasing grain operations at the La Salle location.

We understand this change may require adjustments for some of our patrons, and we appreciate your understanding as we take the necessary steps to prioritize safety and operate responsibly. Decisions like this are never made lightly, but they are essential to ensuring the long-term strength and sustainability of your cooperative.
The grain team at Crystal Valley remains fully committed to serving our patrons. We will continue to responsibly invest in facilities and infrastructure that allow us to provide safe, efficient, and reliable service for years to come.
