We are pleased to announce that we have hired Doug Lund to be our new Vice President of Energy, started with Crystal Valley at the beginning of August and is officing out of Lake Crystal.

Doug is originally from Montevideo, Minnesota, and earned his B.S. Degree from Mankato State University, majoring in Marketing & Management with a minor in Economics.

He began his professional Energy career as a Certified Energy Specialist with CHS (Cenex, at the time), gaining sales experience at several locations over a five-year period.

In 1996 Doug became the General Manager of Community Cooperative Oil Association, an energy-only co-op headquartered in Essig, Minnesota.  Community Co-op Oil and the Farmers Elevator Company of Sleepy Eye merged together in 2003 to form River Region Cooperative, where Doug continued to serve as the Energy Division Manager.

After leaving River Region in 2005, Doug gained experience as a Grain Origination Manager and Procurement Specialist for Christensen Farms in Sleepy Eye.  Later he served as the Director of Operations for B&B Gas Piping Plus out of Fairmont and then was hired as the General Manager/CEO for Ramsdell’s, a private, family-owned Agronomy and Propane company in Flandreau, South Dakota.

Since 2012, Doug served as an Operations Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager for the Energy Division of United Farmers Cooperative, headquartered in Winthrop, Minnesota.

Doug and his wife Kathy and family currently reside just outside of New Ulm, MN.

We are excited to have Doug on board with Crystal Valley and look forward to him bringing his leadership and 25-plus years of experience to our Energy Division.
